Going Digital: If Not NOW, When?

Going Digital: If Not NOW, When?

Technology, in general, has permeated every aspect of our lives. From the moment we wake up to the end of our day, most of our activities involve the use of all sorts of tech- smartphones, watches, computers, TVs, etc. With this much progress around us, it shouldn’t be a surprise that technology has also affected the way we do Dentistry.

YEAR 2022: WHERE IS DENTISTRY NOW?

In case you’ve been busy treating patients one after another and from one operatory to the next since you graduated from Dental School 20 or so years ago, here’s where we’re at now:

  • More patients are owning their oral health condition with the help of Intraoral cameras and Intraoral scanners
  • Practice Management Software is in place instead of filing cabinets with handwritten charts and scripts
  • Crowns, bridges and dentures can be printed in-office using a 3D printer…
  • In-office milling of Zirconia, PMMA, hybrid ceramics is already being done by a lot of your peers, including the doctor practicing next to you…
  • There are more options for clear aligners now and not just Invisalign… (DIY aligners is a thing too!)
  • There’s a CBCT used in Dentistry, not just pan and ceph…
  • Robotics are entering our space, decreasing your office space…
  • And the list goes on and on and on…

YEAR 2022: WHERE IS YOUR PRACTICE NOW?

If you evaluate your practice and take an inventory of your equipment, how updated are you with technology? Did the list above overwhelm you, excite you or scare you? No matter what you feel, today is the day you decide what your practice will look like in the days to come. Going digital and keeping up with the times is the way to go no matter how old school you are.  Check out (https://quickscanios.com/) so we can help you go digital!
